I have been posting many photos of Mustangs and Fords (and other cars) to my Flickr site and remembered the photos my wife took of me and my Mustang when she (as my girlfriend) visited me in San Diego, July of 1986.
I took her around town, seeing the various sites (Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, Sea World, the beaches, etc.) as I was preparing for my first 6-month deployment (aboard the USS Vincennes).
I was very proud of my new (to me) Mustang, having spent a significant amount of time and money making improvements to the car. I purchased a used hood, trunk lid and rear valance, new (NOS) grille, stone deflector and front valance from Ford. I also changed the carb to a new 1850 Holley.
